THANK YOU FOR OVER 4.500 VOTES IN THE CO-CREATION OF THE NEW CIRCULA SUPERSPORT

WHAT IS THE NEW CIRCULA SUPERSPORT?

As a 3rd generation family business, we stand for high-quality mechanical watches with an authentic retro design. In that line, the new SuperSport will be a Super-Compressor diving watch, which were first launched in the 1950s. The special thing about the SuperSport is, that it is not just a Super-Compressor-style watch (i.e., two crowns and inner rotating bezel), but also includes a real Compressor-function, which we developed during the past year. Thus, the case back is compressed by water pressure for better sealing. You can read all the details about Super Compressor watches in our blog article.

HOW CAN I ORDER THE SUPERSPORT?

  • 316L stainless steel case with compressor function and solid steel case back

For you, it is a unique opportunity to influence the creation of a watch with your own ideas and participate in regular polls. For us, it improves the watch. Our previous dive watch, the Circula AquaSport, was also co-created with members of the biggest German watch forum, resulting in a great retro watch, meeting the highest demands of watch experts.

In this round we got clear results on the size, date/no Date, bezel style and 6h text, which we incorporated in the final specs of the new SuperSport. For the crowns, it became clear, that many assumed that the inner bezel wouldn’t have clicks and were afraid of accidental movement, if the 2h crown was not screwed. As the bezel will have clicks, we decided to make the 2h crown turn only and test it on the prototype.

38, 39 or 40 mm diameter?

Date or no date?

Diver or GMT bezel?

SUPERSPORT or AUTOMATIC on the dial text?

One or two screw-down crowns?

In this round with 500 votes, we got a clear result for the dial design and the two colors. For the hands, it was not that clear if you combine the result for the alternatives and compare it to the starting proposal. Also, for the third color no clear preference could be derived. Thus, we decided to bring into the 3rd and last voting not only the choice of bracelets, but also two final hands sets to choose from and new proposals for a third color.

Dial design A or B?

Which hour and minute hands?
(Second hand is decided in voting below)

Which second hand fits better?

Which color is your favorite?

At the end of the final voting, we now have 40mm Super Compressor in three beautiful color combinations: black/orange with black date, petrol/yellow with white (C3 lumed) date and gray/blue as a 99 pieces limited edition without date. The hands from the beginning were the most popular ones and will thus go into production. As bracelet the H-Link was chosen to accompany the black tropic rubber. Over the course of two month an incredible total over 4500 votes were given on 12 questions. Thank you all for participating and creating this great watch!

Besides Black and Petrol, which 3rd dial color (will be a limited edition without date) do you prefer?

Which hands-set?

Which steel bracelet (besides tropic rubber)?

Every cycle we focus only on the given aspect of the watch:

1a. Specs, 1b. Case details, 2a. Dial and hands design, 2b. colors, 3. straps.
