AUTOMATIC PILOT’S WATCHES FROM CIRCULA

Pilot’s watches were developed around 100 years ago and designed to show pilots the time reliably and precisely while flying. For this reason, the main features of a classic pilot’s watch are robustness and an easy-to-read dial.

Even if these watches are no longer primarily used by pilots today, these features of the aviation classics can also be found in the current models. Our Circula ProFlight combines features of historic pilot’s watches with modern design, creating a timeless aesthetic. With a diameter of 40 mm, our pilot’s watches fit most wrists perfectly.

Just like Field Watches, our mechanical pilot’s watch does not have a rotating bezel. The ProFlight is a unique three-hand watch with the extra-large numerals that are characteristic of pilot’s watches. The numerals and the indexes as well as the hands are filled with Swiss Super-LumiNova®, so that the time can be read easily and precisely even in the dark. Instead of the 12, this automatic pilot’s watch has the triangle with the two dots typical for Baumuster A models, which used to enable pilots to tell the time reliably with a quick glance at the watch, even in stressful situations or in poor visibility.

Thanks to the soft iron cage, our high-quality pilot’s watch is also anti-magnetic up to 80,000 A/m, so that the mechanical movement (Sellita SW200-1 in Elaboré grade) is protected against magnetic fields from cockpits as well as smartphones, laptops and other electrical devices. The special surface treatment of the 316L stainless steel case and the sapphire crystal ensure that the watch is resistant to scratches. As the pilot’s watch is water-resistant up to 15 ATM, water landings followed by swimming and diving are also possible.
