FAQ
Order:
The easiest, fastest and least prone to errors is to order our watches and straps directly in our online shop. When you have selected your desired product, place it in the shopping cart with one click and after checking it, click again to go to the so-called checkout. Enter your billing and shipping details there and select the desired payment method (credit card, bank transfer, purchase on account, installment purchase, PayPal). We only ship against prepayment, we do not offer cash on delivery. As soon as we have received the payment, we will ship your order. If payment is received by 2 p.m., usually on the same day.
You can also send us an email with your order and your details to hello@circulawatches.com. We will then send you the corresponding invoice with our bank details and send your order after receipt of payment. It is also possible to order by phone.
By focusing on direct online sales, we can offer our high-quality watches at such attractive prices. Therefore we can only work with a few selected dealers who fit our concept. You can find an overview here.
Unfortunately, no. Our workshop is not designed for the public. However, you can view, try on and also buy all of our watches and bracelets at Deutsche Uhren und Schmuck on the 1st floor of the Schmuckwelten in Pforzheim. The staff there will advise you in detail and competently.
After you have clicked “Proceed” in the shopping cart, you will get to the so-called checkout. There you will find the “Coupon Code” field directly above.
All delivery times are noted directly next to the product in our online shop. Please note that these are estimates and delivery times cannot be guaranteed.
Yes, we offer optional worldwide express shipping with UPS. Please contact us on hello@circulawatches.com for possible shipping times and extra charges.
If you order from within the EU, the prices apply as stated including VAT. If you are outside the EU, our online shop will normally recognize this by your IP address and show you the applicable prices directly without VAT. Your invoice will then also be VAT-exempt. Whether you have to pay tax on it when importing the watch depends on local regulations.
As soon as your watch is dispatched, you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking link in an email, as well as your invoice in a separate email.
Usage and service:
To start a mechanical watch, turn the crown slowly and evenly in the basic position upwards in the direction of twelve (crowns of dive watches need to be unscrewed first in the direction of the six downwards). The spring is fully wound after approx. 40 turns. With hand-wound watches, stop winding as soon as you feel a slight resistance.
In mechanical watches with automatic winding, i.e. a rotor as a flywheel, the watch continues to run constantly after the first winding if you wear it regularly. The maximum power reserve after fully winding is noted in our online shop next to the product.
Our automatic winding watches can also be wound by hand. They have a slip clutch that prevents the spring from overstressing. The spring is fully wound after approx. 40 turns. If you wind your automatic watch by hand, turn the crown slowly and evenly in the basic setting upwards in the direction of twelve. Ideally, automatic watches are wound on the flywheel (rotor), by wearing them on the arm or placing them on a watch winder. However, the occasional manual winding is not a problem.
Pull out the crown to position 1 (crowns of dive watches need to be unscrewed first in the direction of the six downwards). Now you can move the date by turning the crown.
ATTENTION: Do not adjust the date between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m., as the movement automatically advances the date during this time and the movement can be damaged.
If you have set the date, but it continues to change at noon, the watch is not in the correct 12-hour cycle. You have to move the time forward by 12 hours by pulling the crown out to position 2 and then correct the date one more time.
All accuracy rates are noted directly next to the product in our online shop.
We regulate our mechanical watches in Pforzheim with the help of a professional timing machine after they have been placed in the case. However, the accuracy of a watch is sensitive and depends on many influences such as wearing habits or the position of the arm. A light tap can also be enough to change the gear.
It is important to measure the gear deviation under full winding after approx. 40 turns. In our experience, measurements with apps do not show correct values. Special timing machines or real-time measurement compared to a radio clock provide the most reliable results.
That depends on the model and is noted in our online shop next to the product. Further information on what the individual information means can be found here: https://circulawatches.com/en/5-atm-co-what-does-this-mean-on-a-watch/
There is no fixed revision interval, as how often a service is due largely depends on how often you wear it and, of course, on the movement itself. As a rule of thumb, however, one can say that a mechanical watch has to be serviced approximately every 3 to 7 years. During service, the movement is cleaned, all seals are changed, and all bearings in the movement are re-oiled. We would be happy to take over this service for you. Further information is available here: https://circulawatches.com/en/watch-revision/

This depends primarily on your wearing habits and varies from person to person. A leather strap normally lasts for about 1 to 2 years, after which it should be replaced, metals bracelets longer. Despite the high resistance of our straps, signs of aging and wear and tear cannot be avoided.

We give a two-year warranty for the movement, the hands and the dial on all of our watches. The guarantee applies to any manufacturing defects. The warranty period begins with the purchase. The date of purchase on the invoice is decisive for this. Please keep therefore the invoice in a safe place. Manufacturing defects will be remedied by us free of charge within the warranty. Batteries, wear and tear on the case, glass or bracelet as well as damage caused by improper use (including accident, glass breakage, water damage, torn crown) are not covered.
We can only confirm whether a warranty claim actually exists after checking your watch for possible damage due to improper use. Please be sure that in case of doubt we will always make decisions for your benefit.
If you have a warranty claim, please write to us before sending your watch to hello@circulawatches.com. Further information can be found on our terms and conditions page.
Yes. The warranty claim from the date of purchase of the first owner remains and is transferred to the second or third buyer. Therefore, please pay attention to the date of the first purchase on the original invoice when buying a used watch.
Of course, we also carry out service work on used or older watches and will be happy to send you a cost estimate.
The repair of a watch takes about 2 weeks, plus the shipping time.
