HIGH QUALITY WATCHES MADE IN GERMANY

We design, develop and assemble all mechanical Circula watches in Germany, more precisely in Pforzheim, the watchmaking heart of the black forest, where Circula was founded in 1955. For this reason, our watches can be called “Made in Germany”.

Watches Made in Germany – what does it mean?

“Made in Germany” means that the majority of the added value must take place in Germany. For our watches, this means that we have individual components such as the Swiss Sellita SW200 movement of our AquaSport II watches, sourced from abroad, but each movement is checked and if needed fine-tuned again by our watchmakers before installation. The watches themselves are also built with traditional craftsmanship in Germany. In this way, we ensure that our high quality standards are met at all times and also support traditional German watchmaking.

German watches with German movements

In contrast to most other German watch manufacturers, whose watches are also Made in Germany, our watches from the strictly limited Heritage collection, launched in 2019, even use genuine German in-house NOS movements by P.U.W. from the 1970s! These models sold out very quickly after the launch.

Each movement, no matter if built in-house or procured, is carefully checked when assembled. If the movement meets our high internal guidelines, the watchmaker then places the dial, sets the hands, and finally builds everything in a stainless-steel case. These components are also carefully checked prior to installation. Before the case back is finally screwed on, the watchmaker adjusts each movement for precise accuracy. In the last step, the watches are checked for water resistance.
The result is exceptional quality watches made in Germany, which are delivered with a certificate that guarantees authenticity and quality.

Circula watches from Germany: the individual components

We only use high-quality materials from responsible sources for our Circula watches. In order to guarantee the high quality of our components, we are always in close contact with our partners. All of our suppliers have years of industry expertise.

Thus, we exclusively use reliable and long-lasting movements with very high accuracy from renowned manufacturers, mainly from Sellita of Switzerland. We use for example the well-known SW200-1 in the diving watches SuperSport and AquaSport II, as well as in our field watch ProTrail.

The movements are enclosed in a robust case made of 316L stainless steel. This stainless steel is rustproof and anti-allergenic. Scratch-resistant, double anti-reflective sapphire crystal from a recognized specialist ensures a clear view of the hands and dial. The Circula leather straps with quick-exchange system are made by hand in Germany. Even the leather itself comes from southern Germany and is plant tanned in an environmentally friendly manner.

We not only rely on local suppliers for high quality, but also in order to protect the environment and make coordination easier. We deliver our watches with a certificate that guarantees authenticity and quality.
