HIGH QUALITY WATCHES MADE IN GERMANY

We design, develop and assemble all Circula watches in Germany, more precisely in Pforzheim, the watchmaking heart of the black forest, where Circula was founded in 1955. For this reason, our watches can be called “Made in Germany”.

Watches Made in Germany – what does it mean?

“Made in Germany” means that the majority of the added value must take place in Germany. For our watches, this means that we have individual components such as the Miyota 9015 movement of our Classic Automatic watches, sourced from abroad, but each movement is checked and fine-tuned again by our watchmakers before installation. The watches themselves are also assembled with traditional craftsmanship in Germany. In this way, we ensure that our high quality standards are met at all times and also support traditional German watchmaking.

German watches with German movements

In contrast to most other German watch manufacturers, whose watches are also Made in Germany, our watches from the strictly limited Heritage collection even use genuine German in-house NOS movements by P.U.W. from the 1970s! The watches are available as Heritage Automatic or Heritage Hand-Wound.

For these extraordinary watches, our experienced watchmakers first build by hand the historic P.U.W. in-house movements, after a prophylactic cleaning in an ultrasonic bath. Then they oil all moving parts according to a precise plan with a special oil for watches. Each movement is carefully checked before and after assembly.

If the movement meets our high internal guidelines, the watchmakers then place the dial, set the hands and finally build everything in a 3-part stainless steel case with an exhibition case back. These components are also carefully checked prior to installation. Before the case back is finally screwed on, the watchmakers adjust each movement for precise accuracy. In the last step, the watches are checked for 5 ATM water resistance.

The result is exceptional and strictly limited quality watches made in Germany, which are delivered with a certificate that guarantees authenticity and quality.

Circula watches from Germany: the individual components

We only use high-quality materials from responsible sources for our Circula watches. In order to guarantee the high quality of our components, we are always in close contact with our partners. All of our suppliers have years of industry expertise.

Thus, we exclusively use reliable and long-lasting movements with very high accuracy from renowned manufacturers. Our quartz watches are powered by a Swiss Ronda quartz movement, a Miyota movement is built into the automatic watches from the Classic collection and the heart of our limited hand-wound and automatic watches from the Heritage collection are genuine German new-old-stock in-house movements from Pforzheim. With the mechanical movements of the Classic and Heritage collections, we are once again returning to the origins of Circula watches from the 1950s. In terms of sustainability, mechanical watches also have the advantage that, with proper care and maintenance, they are very durable and do not require environmentally harmful batteries.

The movements are enclosed in a robust case made of 316L stainless steel. This stainless steel is rustproof and anti-allergenic. Scratch-resistant, double anti-reflective sapphire crystal from a recognized specialist ensures a clear view of the hands and dial. The Circula leather straps with quick-exchange system are made by hand in Germany. Even the leather itself comes from southern Germany and is plant tanned in an environmentally friendly manner.

We not only rely on local suppliers for high quality, but also in order to protect the environment and make coordination easier. We deliver our watches with a certificate that guarantees authenticity and quality.
