Nearly 25 years of experience
in the cockpit
“I’m wearing mine tomorrow in the jet.”
That’s what Tom McGrath wrote to us after seeing a post about the ProFlight. The very next day, his watch actually accompanied him into the F-15. The spontaneous cockpit photos took us by surprise and brought us great joy.
Tom’s career spans nearly 25 years in the U.S. Air Force, with approximately 4,000 flight hours in the F-15 and numerous missions. He served as a flight instructor in two international military training programs and has been a weapons instructor since 1997. To this day, he continues to train F-15 crews. His take on the ProFlight: “GREAT flying watch!!”
Robustly constructed,
well thought out down to the last detail
From the briefing and preflight preparations to navigation and coordination: For Tom, time awareness is essential in every phase of a flight. It’s crucial to keep track of procedures and act at the right moment.
“Time awareness is essential in every aspect of flight duties, and an accurate, reliable timepiece is a must. My Circula Pro Flight is a true champ at keeping me on time!”
The ProFlight supports this focus with a clearly structured dial and distinctive numerals. Super-LumiNova® on the hands and numerals ensures readability in the dark. The domed sapphire crystal, with a double anti-reflective coating on the inside, reduces reflections in changing light conditions.
Sturdy construction and suitable for everyday use
A reliable pilot's watch needs more than just an easy-to-read dial. The ProFlight's sandblasted stainless steel case achieves a surface hardness of up to 1,200 Vickers. A soft-iron cage protects the movement from magnetic fields of up to 80,000 A/m. Sapphire crystal, a screw-down crown, and 150-meter water resistance round out the robust construction.
The ProFlight Power+ is powered by the Swiss Sellita SW200-2 Power+ Elaboré automatic movement, which offers approximately 65 hours of power reserve. At CiRCULA in Pforzheim, it is regulated to an accuracy of minus 5 to plus 7 seconds per day. With a diameter of 40 millimeters, the watch remains compact and suitable for everyday use.
A watch
that actually flies
Tom bought his ProFlight on his own and wore it in the cockpit out of his own conviction. His photos were taken spontaneously and without any planned promotional campaign. That’s exactly what makes his story so special to us.
A watch that we developed with great care in Pforzheim now accompanies him in a line of work where a broad overview, precision, and reliability are essential. Tom’s real-life cockpit experience brings our vision of a pilot’s watch to life.
We’d like to express our sincere thanks for the surprising photos, his personal insights, and his trust.
