Sustainability

We focus on sustainable processes and fair dealings with suppliers and service providers at every stage of the production of a watch. We also regularly formulate far-reaching sustainability goals for our future and yours. Local production in Pforzheim and the use of particularly high-quality and durable materials guarantee watches that will give pleasure for generations to come while conserving resources.

Combined with short delivery routes, our processes help to minimise the ecological footprint. Every Circula watch therefore stands for conscious consumption and sustainable quality - perfect for anyone who cares about the environment as well as time.

Durable and high quality

Quality creates sustainable value

Our watches are particularly durable. The cases, steel bracelets, dials and hands are made of rustproof 316L stainless steel or brass and often last more than a lifetime.

The movements used are of such high quality that an overhaul or repair is worthwhile and preserves the value. With this in mind, we keep spare parts in our warehouse for several years. Our designs are also timeless, so that you will enjoy wearing your watch for decades to come.

Sustainable value creation

Conserving resources

At Circula, sustainability is not just a trend, but a promise for the future. We take great care to ensure that as little waste as possible is produced in our factory. We use components that do not meet our high quality standards for B-grade goods, prototypes, demonstration models and damaged returns are given a second chance.

Our long-lasting leather watch straps are vegetable-tanned in southern Germany and finished without the use of chemicals. We also think about an environmentally friendly future when it comes to procurement: most components arrive in recyclable paper boxes, and orders and administration are almost entirely digital. For example, the printer is only used for our shipping labels.

As little co2 as possible

Whenever possible, we use DHL's climate-neutral "GoGreen" service to ship our products. We fill our paper shipping boxes with biodegradable filling material, the certified "FLO-PAK BIO-8" made from plant starch. We only use paper tape made from recycled material to seal all packaging. In our business premises and for our IT, we use electricity from renewable sources. We now use our e-bikes almost without exception for errands with local suppliers or for appointments with customs.

Our path to climate neutrality

We want to produce completely plastic-free and climate-neutral by 2030. To achieve this, we have set ourselves ambitious goals for the coming years:

  • Plastic-free packaging for straps (target 2025)
  • Cases / shipping boxes made from recycled and/or biodegradable material (realisation 2026)
  • Climate-neutral heating of our business premises (target 2027)
  • Straps made from recycled / biodegradable material (target 2028)
  • Cases made from recycled material (target 2029)
  • Dials and hands made from recycled material (target 2030)
